“Oysters” revolves around two characters – Sheena (Apte) and Javed (Ashraf Ejjbair). On the film’s Kickstarter page, a synopsis for the film reads: “When Sheena invites Javed, her sister’s ex for dinner, the mutual attraction is palpable. But can they escape the past that binds them?” The short film is directed by Pratyusha Gupta and written by Sharmila Chauhan.
Radhika Apte has acted in a number of short films. She played one of the lead roles in Anurag Kashyap’s short film on eve teasing, “That Day After Everyday,” which released on YouTube in 2012. She also played the title role in Sujoy Ghosh’s chilling 2015 Bengali short film “Ahalya.”
Apte will be next seen on the big screen in the upcoming thriller “Phobia,” which is slated to release on May 27.
